Range Safety & Discipline

FUNDAMENTAL RULES FOR SAFE GUN HANDLING.

  1. Always treat a firearm as if it were loaded.
  2. Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
  3. Always keep Gun in ‘open action’ until ready to shoot.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES.

  1. It is the Responsibility of all Range Users to know and obey all range rules.
  2. Always carry fire arms 'Open Action' or in Carryboxes.
  3. Do not handle a firearm or stand at the firing line while others are downrange.
  4. Firearms may only be handled only after the command "Commence Fire".
  5. Shoot only at Allotted Targets. Avoid "Cross fire".
  6. Stop shooting immediately upon the command "Cease fire."
  7. All firearms on the firing line shall be handled in a safe manner.
  8. Keep the 'Barrel' direction downrange at all times or on the Bench.
  9. Keep all firearms unloaded and all actions open until on the firing line and ready to fire.
  10. Keep all firearms unloaded and all actions open after completion of shooting.
  11. Any firearms requiring maintenance shall be removed from the firing line to a designated safety area, ONLY after it has been cleared of all ammunition
  12. All range users are personally responsible for range safety and safe shooting.
  13. Respond Politely and Positively when corrected concerning a violation of Range rules.
  14. Adult supervision is required for all shooters under the age of 14 years of age.
  15. NO ALCOHOL, DRUGS or SMOKING ALLOWED IN THE RANGE.
